REVENUE OR NATION ?
This lockdown had brought a lot of challenges, but as an
optimistic approach we must always try to find a gem even in a trash pile. And
the 1 same gem was “Keeping our youth away from Drug addiction”.
It’s been over 40 days of lockdown in which all kinds of
“unhealthy drugs” were unavailable in the market, and our addicts somehow
managed nearly 35 days without it. Since it is an old saying “It takes 21
continuous days to build any habit” and vice-versa.
Is this necessary for government to open all kinds of liquor
shops? A big question in itself.
Yeah, we know that State needs money & these drugs are
the biggest source for it. But still is it morally correct to earn revenue on
cost of country’s future. Where one State like Bihar is trying its level best
to become “Liquor-Free Sate” and on the other hand, all other States are
putting it into “essential services” inspite of knowing that here social distancing norms can not be followed away in crucial time. Strange!!!!!!!!
Now, we really need to introspect ourselves that in which
direction we are leading our country. It’s up to us.

ReplyDeleteAs a responsible citizen, I personally want that all kind of drugs and liquor should be strictly banned in the entire country. But as far as I know, (though I am not economically or politically aware) this will not happen.
ReplyDeleteSo I agree that this should not happen, but I think this was inevitable.
